Canada Wildfire Reforestation

Tree species: Douglas Fir, Lodgepole Pine, Pondersoa Pine, Hybrid Spruce
This picturesque location was devastated by wildfires in 2017, 2018 and 2021 – killing forests, scorching the soil and destroying over 1.3 million hectares of land crucial to local wildlife and Indigenous communities. This collaborative project is dedicated to restoring the land through a reforestation initiative aimed at assisting natural regeneration and restoring the forests to their former glory and importance.
Tanzania Reforestation
Forest type: Mangrove and agroforestry
Tree species: Including Mango, East African Tulip, Fig, Lemon, Avocado, Natal Mahogany, East African Mahogany, Lauvolfia caffra, Axfelia Africana
This initiative involves planting 4.5 million native and agroforestry trees, aiming to restore the significant loss of trees and biodiversity by providing locals with diverse tree species that generate alternative sources of income, food and forestry materials.

This project based in Dartford, is an excellent example of a piece of reformed and regenerated land. Positioned just next to the Dartford Crossing, the level of pollution in the area makes this an ultra-high emission zone and therefore an incredibly important location for tree planting.
