Hi as a mot test station owner that has been testing for over 25 years i would say the price of mot testing should definitely rise for the reasons below .
1. The test price has not increase much at all in the last 10 years .
2. The price of rent , utility bills ,wages and calibration certs have gone up a lot in the last 10 years so the profit. Margin is much less per test.
3. The amount of items in a test and changes have risen massively in last 10 years.
4. The amount of time i takes to carry out a test is no longer in line with most workshop hourly rates .
